I came across this quote today from Elizabeth Barrett Browning and I thought I'd share!
"Earth is crammed with heaven. Every common bush afire with God. Only he who sees it takes off his shoes."
I have come to the conclusion that one of the most basic necessities for a good life is a grateful heart. People whom I have known who are grossly unhappy have one thing in common --- no gratitude. And I don't think I am being a Pollyanna or cavalier. Regardless of circumstances there is always room and reason for gratitude. Seeing the "earth crammed w heaven" is certainly one reason, one reason to take off your shoes!
